Researcher biography
Marlyn Jeanne Christine is a PhD student at School of Social Science-the University of Queensland (UQ). She completed her Master’s degree in Regional Development from UQ. She is passionate about regional development especially in developing countries. Her present study is focused on microfinance and poverty eradication. The aim of this research is to identify factors that contribute to or hinder the poor from gaining benefits from microfinance as a means of poverty alleviation.
Marlyn’s principal advisor is Dr Peter Walters, and her associate advisor is Emeritus Professor M. Adil Khan.
