Researcher biography

Lauren is a PhD Student in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences, in the Faculty of Science at The University of Queensland. Working under Professor Susan Rowland’s supervision, Lauren’s PhD project focuses on university connections with industry, to improve employability curricula and assist science graduates in thriving in their chosen career. 

Lauren completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at UQ in 2018. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) First Class in 2019, investigating supervisor perspectives of Undergraduate Research Experiences as employability development opportunities. During this time, she was invited to present her work, together with Professor Susan Rowland, as a keynote presentation the 2019 Australasian Conference of Undergraduate Research at the University of Sydney.
