Researcher biography
Shanice is a PhD candidate at the Queensland Alliance of Agriculture and Food Innovation Institute (UQ), with a background in plant biology and biotechnology. Her research is a part of the International Mungbean Improvement Network and aims to explore new innovative tools to increase the reliability and productivity of mungbean production for growers in Australia and Myanmar. Shanice is passionate about improving global food security and ensuring that communities across the globe have access to agricultural systems that are resilient to climate change. She holds a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Science with an honours degree in horticultural biotechnology from the Queensland University of Technology.
