Clare Wijngaarden

Researcher biography
Clare is a HDR Researcher with the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Uniquely Australian Foods. Her research focus is on understanding market insights for the native food sector in Australia; identifying current consumer markets, marketing opportunities and value. Her principal advisor is A/Prof Heather Smyth and associate advisor is Dr Kamalesh Adhikari.
Clare has a background in Food and Sensory Science, holding a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology from The University of New South Wales, and Master of Science specialising in Sensory Science from Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. Her professional experience includes stints in food manufacturing roles in Australia (QA and Quality Systems), as well as many years abroad working with sensory and consumer research teams from around the globe in the FMCG sector.
