Courtney Adams

Courtney Adams' PhD research focuses on the relationship between stakeholder value perceptions and sustainability in relation to the arts and culture sector in Australia. Prior to this undertaking, she worked for over 10 years as a marketing and communications professional across agency, not-for-profit, higher education, performing arts, and State Government settings. She is actively engaged with the arts sector through cultural services work and retains ties with the marketing profession via freelancing. When she's not working or studying, Courtney fills her time with binge reading, drinking her weight in tea, hanging out with dogs, painting children's illustrations, and eating her way around Brisbane.
Courtney holds a Bachelor of Communication with Class I Honours from Griffith University and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Bond University. Guided by Dr Kate Power and Dr Monica Chien of UQ Business School, she aspires to use her PhD experience to empower managers and advocate for improved outcomes in the Australian arts space.
