Researcher biography

Giuliana completed a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires in 2014, and after a Diploma in Defence and Geopolitics of Latin America she started transitioning into the development and environmental studies completing a Master of Research in social-environmental studies from FLACSO Ecuador in 2019. With a strong interest in climate change, social justice, communities and development, her current PhD research analyse the social and political impacts of the Permaculture movement within Australia.

Giuliana’s advisors are Kristen Lyons from the School of Social Science and Sonia Roitman from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Queensland.
