Researcher biography

Quang Hung is a PhD student at the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work and a casual academic at the University of Queensland. His current research aims to understand the experience of elder abuse in migrant Australians, focusing on the Vietnamese community. He held a master’s degree in social work and another in international project management. Over the past two decades, he has acquired a range of experiences, including a university lecturer, UNICEF specialist, youth advocate, and coordinator of non-profit projects. His research and teaching interests presently focus on social work, child protection, community health care, mental health, and elder abuse. His previous publications and working experiences have also been related to drug abuse treatments, positive discipline for children, and child marriage. Quang is enthusiastic about joining a multidisciplinary research team to address a global challenge.
