Yixiao Huang

Yixiao is a PhD student from the school of mechanical and mining engineering. His research topic is the impact of Weathering on the Long-term Stability of underground mine roadways. His principal advisor is Dr Zhongwei Chen, and his associate advisor is Professor Longbin Huang. Before that, he graduated from The University of Queensland in 2021 with a degree in mechatronic engineering.

He is excited to be involved in the Global Change Scholars Program to work collaboratively with researchers and industry partners to solve a real-world challenge. He believes his knowledge in engineering, problem-solving, task management, and communication skills could contribute to many aspects of this project.
