Researcher biography
Sam is a researcher, working within the school of civil engineering, developing computer vision and artificial intelligence tools. These tools are aimed at gathering data which would be impossible to collect by traditional methods, thereby enabling researchers and practitioners to examine scenarios with a much higher level of resolution. One of the primary goals of Sam’s research is the development of a real-time, computer-vision based trajectory extraction algorithm, which among other outcomes, will open up the possibility of transport systems that respond and adapt to demand as it is observed.
Sam's principal advisor is Dr Sang Hyung Ahn.
