Researcher biography
Miljan Stupar is a PhD candidate in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences. He completed his undergraduate studies at UQ, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science with a particular focus on microbiology and genetics. During this time he joined the Tuberculosis Research Laboratory, where he worked on several projects and also conducted his Honours research. His current research aims to better understand the genetic basis for latent Tuberculosis, particularly the ways by which bacteria are able to thrive during this important phase of infection and whether they can be targeted by chemotherapy.
