I’m a PhD student at UQ's School of Education, with a master’s degree in Sociology. My project is comparative research about the “Survey of Adults Skills” (PIAAC-OECD) use by policymakers in Australia, Chile and Singapore, to promote better Lifelong learning policies in different contexts. This research is linked to my previous work as Statistics Unit Coordinator and then Head of the Research Centre of the Ministry of Education of Chile, where I had the chance to engage in different international studies including several OECD projects in education. At present, I keep interested in the influence of international organisations on educational policies, but from a detached, comparative and academic perspective, with the support of two research scholarships.

Roberto’s principal advisor is Dr Vicente Reyes, and his associate advisor is Dr Sue Creagh.
