Shaikat Debnath is a PhD student at Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, while he has obtained the UQ-Research training Scholarship to support his research. His research area is carbon based cathode material for aluminium-ion batteries under the supervision of Dr. Marlies Hankel and Professor Debra Bernhardt. Before that he did his Master of Engineering Science from University of Malaya, Malaysia and Bachelor (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh. Apart from it, he worked in the electricity department of Bangladesh for 6 years.
