Researcher biography

I joined the University of Queensland at the beginning of 2018 and started with the Master of Advanced Economics on my PhD-journey at the School of Economics here. As the coursework requirements come to an end now in my second year, I am starting to develop my concrete research ideas. I have for a long time been interested in the interaction between the economy and the environment, whether it is about climate change, renewable and exhaustible resources or natural capital more broadly. Economics is in its essence the study of the efficient allocation of scarce resources and history and particularly the present tell us that we are doing a terrible job. I want to devote my research towards tackling these urgent and global issues. Since this is inherently an interdisciplinary task, I am thrilled to join the Global Change Scholars Program and meet people from different backgrounds and with similar mindsets.
