UQ is proud to announce three new scholarships in Synthetic Biology. These scholarships allow students to participate in a joint PhD program between UQ and Tianjin University within the Australia-China Joint Research Centre for Synthetic Biology. Recipients of this scholarship will be concurrently enrolled at UQ and Tianjin University during their candidature. They will spend at least 12 months at Tianjin University and at the end of a successful candidature will be eligible to receive a degree awarded jointly by both UQ and Tianjin University.

The scholarship is a UQ funded scholarship which provides a living allowance.

A $10,000 top up and return economy airfare will be provided to each scholarship holder during the period that they spend in China.
